"What a wonderful weekend! This was the best seminar that I’ve ever attended. First and
foremost, it was a very spiritual experience. We started off with the Friday evening “get
together.” We were pampered, we had fun, and we were fed physically and spiritually. We
then had dessert in the form of powerful talks from each facilitator. But it didn’t stop there,
we were given expensive delicacies like Godiva chocolate in the form of a talk from Deborah
Houston. Wow! What a powerful woman, blessed by God. When I left there that evening, I
had a hard time getting to sleep thinking about the wonderful time with my Sisters and the
powerful words that I heard. Saturday morning the clock alarmed at 6:00 a.m., but I was
ready to get up because I knew that a treat was in store for me that day. I really didn’t
believe that it could get any better than Friday night, but much to my surprise, Saturday far
exceeded Friday night. Sis. Bryson, both Sis. Wilson’s and Sis. Houston were awesome as
they shared the concepts of bouquets of flowers and gardens and related it to the sisters in
the body of Christ. The food was delicious and the fellowship with my Sisters in Christ
phenomenal. I was truly blessed this past weekend and God willing, I am looking forward

"I truly enjoyed the seminar both the Friday and Saturday sessions/program/activities. I

"Praise Him!! I was so spiritually uplifted. My countenance was down going in, as we
sometimes get, but I definitely was on a high leaving. "Closer" sista friendships were
rekindled with the goal of glorifying God in our sister relationships and fellowship with each
other. Our table discussions were right on key for Friday night to get that going for the

The Southside Ladies Seminar was a very successful and inspiring one. For me, the entire
weekend's activities provided the opportunity to be still, to take time out from my hectic
schedule and focus on my spiritual growth, both vertically with my Lord and Savior, and
horizontally with my sisters in Christ. All the speakers were dynamic in their own way and
certainly challenged us to really live the Christian life as God requires, daily rooting out the
weeds that clutter our lives and allowing us to bloom and be the vibrant, beautiful, sweet-
smelling flowers that God has planted in his garden (the church). ~ Humbly submitted by

- Take time for myself and not to get too caught up in being busy with the demands of
the world - Take every opportunity to build up someone else and not to get caught up in defaming
the character of others - Every joint in the body in necessary and dependent upon each other, thus the church
(its members) should operate under the same premise - It's time to get rooted, get growing, get going.
